A little about me

I'm a frontend-focused software engineer with 7 years of experience building web applications in Vue.js and TypeScript. I've built micro frontends from scratch, led framework migrations (Vue 2 to Vue 3, Vuex to Pinia, VueCLI to Vite, and 100+ components to the Composition API), and charted millions of points of aircraft engine data. I also care about the work that makes a whole team faster: stricter code standards, automated linting and tests, and code that's easy to review. I'm currently a UI Engineer II at AccuLynx, working remotely from Denver.

    Where I've worked

    • Created dozens of new frontend pages for integrations with third-party applications in Vue.js and TypeScript, including OAuth 2.0 and custom data mapping.
    • Migrated over 100 Vue components from Class Components to the Composition API to prepare for the move to Vue 3.
    • Implemented Husky and lint-staged to automate linting, eliminating daily errors that took significant developer effort to clean up.
    • Built a large portion of a new Teams feature, including an interactive team hierarchy page using the D3 Org Chart library.
    • Helped implement the frontend of the site's Third-Party Auth and Two-Factor Auth systems.
    • Created two new micro frontend services from scratch in Vue.js with TypeScript, Pinia and Vite, deployed via CodeBuild in AWS.
    • Migrated two existing services from Vue 2 to Vue 3, including Vuex to Pinia, VueCLI to Vite, and Class Components to the Composition or Options API.
    • Implemented much stricter code standards across all 8 frontend services, adding Husky for linting and pre-push tests and standardizing formatting for easier peer review.
    • Completely overhauled a page that graphs millions of points of engine data for hundreds of parameters across millions of flights, using Highcharts in Vue.js and TypeScript.
    • Designed and built an entirely new Angular module that lets customers track the move-in/move-out process for each unit they manage.
    • Built a new page on an existing web application in Vue.js and TypeScript that shows the data and explanations behind analytics run by a backend system.

    Volunteer

    • Led the frontend Vue.js development of a full-stack web application built for Camp Joy, a nonprofit.
